Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls with precision and urgency
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units using CAD systems and radio protocols
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and public information services
- Operate enhanced 911 systems and specialized communication equipment
- Participate in continuous training simulations and scenario drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- Minimum 1 year customer service or call center experience
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Ohio driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ohio POST certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
