Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Operate radio dispatch systems and computer-aided dispatch (CAD) software
- Coordinate resources for police, fire, and EMS units during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate incident logs and documentation
- Provide clear, calm instructions to callers during emergencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and community partners
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and active listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency and typing ability (40+ WPM)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
