Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and efficiency
- Operate radio systems to dispatch police units and track responses
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in CAD/RMS systems
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions via emergency protocols
- Train on departmental policies and jurisdictional geography
- Perform routine administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Proficiency in computer applications (CAD/RMS systems)
- Exceptional communication and listening skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress scenarios
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
