Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Remain calm under pressure during critical incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers until help arrives
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during complex situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (will be tested)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Valid California driver's license
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Basic computer literacy skills
