Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update information in CAD/NCIC databases
- Provide clear instructions to callers during medical/fire/police emergencies
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS agencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 35+ WPM (verified test required)
- Ability to multitask under high-pressure situations
