Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communication equipment
- Coordinate resources for police, fire, and EMS responses during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of all communications and actions
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to callers in distress
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners during large-scale emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure during emergencies
- Proficient in computer navigation and multitasking abilities
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
- Valid Florida driver's license required
