Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field units and external agencies
- Operate CAD systems and record-keeping databases per department protocols
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Monitor multiple radio channels while handling simultaneous calls
- Document all interactions in compliance with state/federal regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure and multitask effectively
- Proficient with basic computer applications (Windows, databases)
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
