Responsibilities
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to dispatch police units efficiently
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with precise documentation
- Utilize Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems for real-time incident tracking
- Coordinate with EMS, Fire Department, and other emergency agencies
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for legal compliance
- Provide critical information to officers during high-stress situations
- Participate in continuous training for new technologies and protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- U.S. citizenship and valid New York State driver's license
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear criminal background check and drug screening
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS, MS Office)
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish strongly preferred)
