Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service via 911 and landlines.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and rescue units to incidents with accuracy and speed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all communications and unit status.
- Provide critical information to field personnel to ensure officer safety and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with other agencies and emergency services as needed.
- Assist citizens with inquiries, non-emergency requests, and crisis intervention support.
- Perform data entry and record management using departmental computer systems.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Florida Driver's License required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under high-pressure situations.
- Strong typing skills and proficiency with computer systems.
- Background check and drug screening required.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends.
