Responsibilities
- Receive, screen, and prioritize incoming emergency and non-emergency calls.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incidents using CAD systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of all calls for service.
- Provide essential information to responding officers and citizens via radio and telephone.
- Monitor multiple radio frequencies and alert personnel to changing situations.
- Assist in the processing of incident reports and paperwork.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class E) and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screening, and medical evaluation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry is a plus.
