Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio equipment
- Relay critical information to field units and other agencies
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations while multitasking
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and department policies
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- No prior experience required – we train qualified candidates!
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (testing will be administered)
- Clear speaking voice with excellent communication skills
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid California driver's license (or ability to obtain)
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
