Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize 911/emergency calls with exceptional composure and accuracy
- Dispatch police units and emergency services using CAD systems and radio protocols
- Maintain detailed incident logs and update real-time information for responding units
- Provide critical instructions to callers during medical emergencies and crisis situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and EMS teams during multi-agency incidents
- Operate communication equipment including radios, telephones, and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards for all communications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (additional education preferred)
- No prior experience required – training provided
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive during high-stress emergency situations
- Proficient typing skills (minimum 35 WPM) and basic computer literacy
- Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass extensive background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work
