Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines with accuracy and empathy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate field units during emergencies
- Enter/update information in CAD/RMS databases while maintaining strict confidentiality
- Multi-task during high-pressure situations with clear, concise communication
- Adhere to department protocols and California POST standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Valid California driver's license
- Clear criminal background and fingerprint check
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified by test)
- Ability to pass psychological and medical evaluations
- Fluent in English (bilingual Spanish strongly preferred)
