In this role, you will serve as the vital link between the public and our first responders. You will utilize advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems to process emergency calls, coordinate police, fire, and medical responses, and maintain the safety of our community. We are looking for individuals who can remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls via 911 and telephone lines with speed and accuracy.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services to incident locations using CAD systems.
- Monitor and track active incidents in real-time to provide updates to responding units.
- Enter and update incident reports, warrants, and criminal records into department databases.
- Maintain constant situational awareness and provide clear, concise instructions to officers in the field.
- Coordinate with external agencies, including hospitals, sheriff's offices, and neighboring jurisdictions.
- Operate surveillance cameras and security systems to assist in incident resolution.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35-40 words per minute.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress, life-threatening situations.
- Must successfully complete a thorough background investigation, drug screen, and psychological evaluation.
