  • Enter and update incident reports, field notes, and status information into departmental databases.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to responding units and other agencies to facilitate successful outcomes.
  • Support the Training Division by observing and learning from senior dispatchers during the probationary period.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; completion of post-secondary education in criminal justice or communications is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to speak clearly over a radio.
  • Ability to remain composed and make quick, sound decisions under stressful and high-pressure conditions.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and computer-aided dispatch software.
  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
