Responsibilities
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and EMS units to emergency calls using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate logs and records of all communications and activities
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Operate radio systems, telephones, and other communication equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Assist with training and mentoring of new dispatch personnel
- Perform data entry and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Experience in customer service or emergency communications preferred
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
- Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old
