Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency notification equipment
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during critical incidents
- Adhere to all federal and state communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certificate (will be tested)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Kentucky driver's license
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multitasking and stress management abilities
- Clear verbal communication skills without regional dialect barriers
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
