Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police officers, fire, and EMS resources using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain constant radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update incident data in real-time for law enforcement records
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Operate specialized emergency equipment per department protocols
- Provide after-hours support through on-call rotations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish highly desirable)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
