Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with exceptional speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS resources during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and radio transmissions
- Operate CAD systems and emergency notification technologies
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass extensive background investigation and polygraph
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Clear speaking voice and multilingual skills a plus
- No felony convictions and clean drug history
