Responsibilities
- Receive and process emergency and non-emergency calls efficiently and accurately.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to incident locations using a computer-aided dispatch (CAD) system.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs of all communications and incidents.
- Update incident status and coordinate resources in real-time as situations evolve.
- Provide critical information to officers in the field via radio and telephone.
- Assist callers with crisis intervention and provide pre-arrival instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Ohio Driverβs License with a safe driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and in high-stress situations.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (minimum 30 wpm).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
