Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units
- Operate radio systems, CAD software, and 911 equipment with precision
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to officers and first responders during emergencies
- Remain calm under pressure while multitasking in high-stress situations
- Coordinate resources during major incidents and natural disasters
- Perform data entry and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency and technical aptitude
- U.S. citizenship and valid NC driver's license
- Must be 18+ years old and reside in Guilford County
