Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using EMD protocols
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Enter/update data in CAD and RMS systems with precision
- Maintain calm demeanor during high-stress crisis situations
- Provide critical information to field units and other agencies
- Complete all training modules to achieve dispatcher certification
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal communication standards
- Participate in regular drills and performance evaluations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Arizona driver's license
- Pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Strong multitasking and situational awareness skills
- Experience with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems preferred
- Fluency in English (bilingual Spanish a plus)
