Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Operate multi-line phone systems and radio equipment
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS during critical incidents
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time tracking and resource allocation
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers in emergency situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills (40 WPM preferred)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear communication skills and strong situational judgment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Florida driver's license
- No felony convictions
