Responsibilities
- Monitor police radio frequencies and incoming calls for service.
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and medical units to emergencies.
- Enter and maintain accurate incident reports and logs in the CAD system.
- Provide information and assistance to callers during critical situations.
- Communicate effectively with field units and other emergency services.
- Assist in training new dispatch personnel upon certification.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must possess a valid Texas Driverβs License.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-stress environments.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and data entry.
