Responsibilities
- Analyze complex socioeconomic data and trends to inform policy recommendations
- Develop comprehensive program evaluations and impact assessment reports
- Collaborate with state legislators and agency stakeholders on policy implementation
- Research best practices from other jurisdictions and propose evidence-based solutions
- Prepare concise policy briefings and legislative testimony for decision-makers
- Manage grant-funded projects and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation of policy development processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of policy analysis or government experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Exceptional written communication and report-writing skills
- Knowledge of Minnesota state government processes and structures
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Valid Minnesota driver's license (may be required for travel)
