Responsibilities
- Process and verify SNAP/food stamp applications with 48-hour turnaround
- Conduct eligibility assessments for Medicaid and TANF programs
- Provide in-person and virtual consultations to applicants
- Maintain accurate case records in state databases
- Collaborate with community partners for outreach initiatives
- Resolve benefit discrepancies through investigation protocols
- Generate weekly compliance reports for departmental review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work/Public Administration or related field
- 2+ years' experience in government benefits processing
- Illinois State Benefits Certification (IBS) required
- Proficiency in state benefits systems (EBT, ILLink)
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license
- Pass background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts
