Responsibilities
- Process and administer state benefit programs (SNAP, TANF, Medicaid) with accuracy and timeliness
- Conduct client interviews to determine eligibility and provide benefit guidance
- Maintain confidential case records and ensure compliance with state/federal regulations
- Collaborate with community organizations to connect clients with additional resources
- Generate monthly reports on caseload metrics and program performance
- Participate in ongoing training on policy updates and procedural changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2 years experience in social services or benefits administration
- Proficiency with case management software (e.g., MAXIS, CWS)
- Strong understanding of federal/state benefit programs
- Excellent communication skills with diverse populations
- Certified Public Benefits Specialist (CPBS) preferred
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
