Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive public health programs targeting Chicago's diverse communities
- Lead emergency response initiatives for disease outbreaks and public health crises
- Analyze health data trends to identify emerging threats and inform policy decisions
- Manage grant-funded projects ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate interagency partnerships with hospitals, NGOs, and local health departments
- Oversee community outreach and health education campaigns across underserved areas
- Prepare legislative reports and budget proposals for public health initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience in public health program management
- Valid Illinois Public Health Administrator certification
- Expertise in epidemiological data analysis and health informatics
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-agency projects
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, ACA, and public health emergency frameworks
- Experience developing health equity initiatives for urban populations
