Responsibilities
- Design and oversee community health intervention programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify public health trends and resource allocation needs
- Coordinate cross-agency partnerships with local health departments and community organizations
- Develop grant proposals and manage federal/state public health funding
- Lead public health emergency response initiatives and policy development
- Mentor junior staff and conduct program evaluations for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of program management experience in government/public health
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or eligible for certification
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Demonstrated success in managing multi-year public health grants
- Experience developing culturally competent health education materials
- Strong knowledge of NC public health regulations and CMS guidelines
