Responsibilities
- Coordinate emergency health response operations for public health crises in Mecklenburg County
- Develop and implement community health education programs targeting underserved populations
- Analyze epidemiological data to identify emerging health threats and inform intervention strategies
- Collaborate with local healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to ensure coordinated service delivery
- Manage state-funded health initiatives and ensure compliance with NC public health regulations
- Prepare detailed reports on health outcomes and program effectiveness for state leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of public health program implementation experience
- Certified in Public Health (CPH) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, SAS, R)
- Experience working with diverse populations in urban settings
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings/weekends during emergencies
