Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Develop policy briefs and recommendations for senior leadership
- Coordinate with state agencies and stakeholders to gather input
- Monitor federal policy trends affecting Illinois' priorities
- Present findings to legislative committees and public forums
- Manage policy implementation projects across departments
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or non-profit
- Advanced proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement strategies
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences
- Knowledge of Illinois state government operations
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under deadlines
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance
