Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts for state and local governments
- Conduct comprehensive research on public policy issues affecting Midwestern communities
- Prepare detailed reports and policy briefs for senior leadership and stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement public programs
- Monitor legislative developments in Nebraska and Illinois
- Present findings to government committees and community organizations
- Evaluate program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative methods
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis experience in government or nonprofit sector
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, R, or SAS)
- Strong understanding of federal/state legislative processes
- Excellent written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Knowledge of Midwest regional policy landscape
