Responsibilities
- Analyze legislative proposals and regulatory impacts using quantitative/qualitative methods
- Develop comprehensive policy briefs and actionable recommendations for state leadership
- Coordinate interagency task forces on healthcare, education, and infrastructure initiatives
- Manage grant-funded research projects with $1M+ budgets
- Present findings to legislative committees and executive stakeholders
- Monitor federal compliance requirements for state programs
- Maintain stakeholder relationships with local governments and advocacy groups
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of government/public sector experience
- Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (R/Python/SAS)
- Expertise in federal/state regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record of policy implementation success
- Valid Texas driver's license
- Clear federal background investigation clearance
- Professional certification (e.g., CPPA) preferred
