Responsibilities
- Dispatch emergency services (police, fire, EMS) using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Maintain constant communication with field units during critical incidents
- Process 911 calls with precision and empathy during emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during large-scale emergencies
- Document all communications and incident details per department protocols
- Operate radio systems and specialized emergency notification platforms
- Participate in continuous training for new technologies and procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in emergency communications or public safety
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficiency in multi-line phone systems and CAD software
- Exceptional situational judgment under pressure
- Fluency in English; bilingual skills in Spanish highly desirable
