Responsibilities
- Monitor and prioritize emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services during night hours
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems with 99.9% accuracy
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support to callers
- Conduct routine equipment checks and system diagnostics
- Collaborate with day shift teams for seamless transition of ongoing incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years in emergency communications or public safety
- Night shift availability (10 PM - 6 AM) with flexible scheduling
- Valid Oregon driver's license and clean record
- Proficiency in CAD systems and radio protocols
- Ability to pass extensive background check and psychological evaluation
- Certified Emergency Number Professional (CENP) preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish or Vietnamese highly desirable
