Responsibilities
- Manage emergency call routing for police, fire, and medical services
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and radio dispatch equipment
- Maintain detailed incident logs and digital records
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during crisis situations
- Provide clear, concise information to first responders
- Utilize CAD systems for real-time incident tracking
- Train new personnel on communication protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 2 years customer service or dispatch experience
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency with typing 40+ WPM
