Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls via 911 and non-emergency lines with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems during night shifts
- Maintain accurate documentation of all incidents and communications
- Provide critical information to first responders and coordinate multi-agency responses
- Monitor radio communications and alarm systems throughout assigned jurisdiction
- Operate emergency notification systems during critical incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year customer service or emergency communications experience
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Proficiency in CAD/RMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English and Spanish highly desirable
