Responsibilities
- Manage emergency calls and dispatch police/fire/EMS units with precision
- Maintain radio communication with field personnel during weekend operations
- Operate CAD systems and NCIC databases for real-time incident tracking
- Document all incidents and communications per government protocols
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during weekend events and emergencies
- Provide crisis intervention support to callers in distress
- Participate in continuous training for weekend-specific scenarios
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- 1+ years emergency dispatch or public safety experience
- Valid Arizona EMT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Typing speed ≥ 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Fri-Sun/Sat-Mon)
- Pass FBI background check and polygraph examination
- Proficiency in CAD systems (e.g., Motorola MCC 7500)
- Bilingual English/Spanish certification required
