Responsibilities
- Enforce county ordinances and state laws with professionalism and integrity
- Respond to emergency calls and public safety incidents within 15 minutes
- Conduct thorough investigations and incident documentation
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during joint operations
- Provide community outreach and educational programs
- Maintain accurate records and digital evidence systems
- Operate specialized safety equipment and vehicles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- Basic EMT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 2 years public safety or law enforcement experience
- Pass comprehensive background check and physical fitness test
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Proficiency in RMS and CAD systems
