Responsibilities
- Monitor and secure designated city areas to prevent criminal activity and ensure public safety during weekend shifts
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents requiring immediate intervention
- Conduct routine patrols on foot or vehicle to deter crime and provide visible community presence
- Enforce municipal ordinances, state laws, and federal regulations with professionalism and impartiality
- Prepare detailed incident reports, maintain accurate records, and testify in judicial proceedings
- Collaborate with other city departments, law enforcement agencies, and community organizations
- Provide public assistance, information, and emergency aid to residents during weekend operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in criminal justice preferred
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate tense situations
- Basic knowledge of public safety protocols, emergency response procedures
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and physical fitness assessment
