Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligned with council priorities
- Manage stakeholder relationships with government agencies and community partners
- Oversee digital campaigns across social media, web, and email platforms
- Produce compelling content including press releases, reports, and policy briefings
- Analyze audience insights and campaign performance data
- Liaise with senior leadership on crisis communications protocols
- Mentor junior communications staff and manage departmental budget
Qualifications
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in public sector communications
- Proven track record in managing multi-channel campaigns
- Expert knowledge of UK government digital standards (GDS)
- CIPR or equivalent professional qualification preferred
- Strong analytical skills with data interpretation experience
- Excellent written communication and presentation abilities
- Valid UK security clearance eligibility
