Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors and citizens entering city facilities in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer multi-line telephone systems and redirect calls to appropriate departments or staff members.
- Process incoming mail, emails, and faxes; sort and distribute documents to city staff.
- Perform data entry tasks, updating records and maintaining accurate databases using government software.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, memos, and general correspondence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area for the public.
- Support special events and community outreach programs as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (may be required for certain shifts).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures quickly.
