Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Document observations through detailed reports and photographic evidence
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and city staff to resolve compliance issues
- Review permit applications and construction documentation for accuracy
- Conduct field investigations related to public works complaints
- Prepare violation notices and enforcement recommendations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years construction inspection experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- ICBO/ICC certifications in Building Inspection or related field preferred
- Proficiency with CAD software and field inspection tools
- Strong knowledge of California Building Codes and local ordinances
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work in outdoor environments with variable weather conditions
