Responsibilities
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations
- Review contractor workmanship, materials, and equipment for quality assurance
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate project documentation
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and city officials to resolve issues
- Enforce adherence to OSHA standards and local building codes
- Investigate citizen complaints and conduct site investigations
- Assist in permit processing and regulatory compliance audits
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of construction inspection or public works experience
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- ICC Certification in Building Inspection (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Strong knowledge of Florida Building Codes and ADA requirements
- Proficiency with CAD software and inspection management systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
