Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections of construction sites for compliance with city codes and safety standards
- Review engineering plans and permit applications for accuracy
- Document findings and prepare detailed inspection reports
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and city officials
- Investigate public complaints related to construction activities
- Assist in emergency response for infrastructure issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction inspection or related field experience
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- ICBO certifications (OSHA 30-hour preferred)
- Strong knowledge of California building codes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with inspection software (e.g., FieldTech)
