Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and utility maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Inspect and repair public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
- Document work progress using digital reporting tools
- Maintain equipment through daily inspections and minor repairs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy machinery
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Experience with GIS mapping or digital reporting a plus
