Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and excavators for public infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, trenching, and material handling
- Conduct routine maintenance on sidewalks, streets, and drainage systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris removal operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Complete accurate daily work logs and equipment inspection reports
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction or public works labor
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- High school diploma or equivalent required
