Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for road maintenance and construction projects
- Execute infrastructure repairs including sidewalk replacements, drainage system maintenance, and pothole remediation
- Conduct daily site inspections and safety compliance checks following OSHA protocols
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events and natural disasters
- Manage material inventory and coordinate supply logistics for multiple project sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement sustainable urban development initiatives
- Document work progress and maintain accurate field reports for project tracking
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of public works/construction experience
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
- OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds consistently and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with GIS mapping software and digital field reporting tools
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with water distribution systems or wastewater infrastructure preferred
