Responsibilities
- Perform heavy excavation, grading, and backfilling for public infrastructure projects.
- Operate and maintain light to medium heavy construction equipment, including skid steers, rollers, and tampers.
- Assist in concrete pouring, curb and gutter installation, and pavement marking tasks.
- Strictly adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Clear construction sites, dig trenches, and prepare ground for utility installation.
- Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Physical stamina to perform strenuous labor, including lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Previous experience in public works, road construction, or general construction labor is highly preferred.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and flexible to work overtime/weekends when required.
- Completion of OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety course is a strong plus.
- Ability to read basic site plans and follow verbal instructions.
