Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks including digging, hauling, and loading materials.
- Assist in road maintenance, pothole repair, and traffic control operations.
- Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, backhoes, and dump trucks (training provided).
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, and construction plans.
- Communicate effectively with crew leads and site supervisors.
- Work in various weather conditions and environments.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid New York State Driver’s License required.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Basic math skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Previous construction or public works experience is a plus but not mandatory.
